I'm sure this has been discussed here before and I just missed it... but
what is the consensus on how the impending California "SMOG-2" legislation
will affect classic Mustangs that are maintained at "stock" emission levels?
What about "stock" 49-state cars that are brought into CA now... what is
everyone in CA expecting to do if SMOG-2 happens?

Tom-
Smog 2 was passed last summer, and is here now, to the best of my
knowledge. Some of its "implications" have been temporarily suspended due
to referee overload . . . just make sure your mechanic knows to put the
machine in "tune-up mode" if your car is in danger of failing, _BEFORE_ the
modem connects ;-).
"federal" cars do seem to have "some" leeway, most likely depends on the
tech . . . "judgement call . . . "
