Hello everyone,

I have a 1969 Carter fuel pump off of my 428. It started leaking
last week and needs a rebuild. Do any of you know where I can find
a rebuild kit?

Thanks,

Dan Triplett

Dan,

Several vendors offer a kit, about $35 last time I checked. I bought mine
from SEMO Classic Mustang at (573) 243-7664.

I think AMK carries these also. 918-455-2651

Another source would be Mansfield Mustang. They specialize in 428 parts
and has a rebuild kit, or will rebuild it for you.

LtCol,

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give Kanter a call.

I noticed that your signature block says you're at Maxwell. I'm going
to be spending my summer there and am wondering if there are any Mustang
events going on. I will have some Sunday's free in August and September
and would love to find some automotive recreation. I also would be
interested in any autocrossing if you happen to know of any cone-chasers
in the area.

So, how hot does it get there in July?

SGT Dan,

Check the club newsletter @
members.aol.com/_ht_a/hodmc1/index.htm. The May edition should be
posted very soon and will show things coming up. The cruise-ins are pretty
big.

I'm not aware of any autocrossing going on, but that just means that
I don't know. You may want to check with the club prez Russ (E-mail link on
homepage).

July is usually 90-100 with 100% humidity and not a cloud in the sky
- your basic wet furnace.
