Alright there,

Well what usually happens is they convert the dolloar to pounds. Maybe
an examples is better. If a Dash pad costs 150USD they change it to
to approx 150UKP + 20 %. So the fact that the exchange is
1 UKP : 1.6 USD, means that the parts have become alot more than their
list price. Of course this is only if they have the item in stock if
they have to order in for you then its usually alot more.

I think that this is one avenue I will investigate. Are their any shops
thaat you could suggest/reccomend I try. And any other ideas on getting
parts.

Also I was thinking of having a holiday in the States later in the year.
I thought this would be a good time to get some parts, organize shipping
etc.

I think import tax is about the level of Value Added Tax ~17.5%.

Cheers,

Rav.

Just curious, what year Mustang do you have? If you come over to the
U.S., do you know where you plan to visit. If I can help you round up
any parts, let me know.

That's crazy, just call a US provider and have it shipped. Even after
paying import taxes, you should come out much cheaper. As exchange rates
go to 1.5x quite often, this would make a $150USD dash pad only 100UKP (+
of course the import taxes). Thus, it would come out cheaper as long as
you didn't hit say 80% in shipping and taxes. I should hope it wouldn't.
