car craft mag sept 98 has a very good article on putting battery in trunk .
my experiance has been that you should not use the kits sold in some catalogs
..
the battery box is ok ( plastic isn't nhra approved if that matters to you )
the wire is just marginal in size.there is some voltage drop. i've found
welding wire
works well . make sure you have a good ground to frame and engine to frame.
also the hot wire must be well insulated so as not to cause a short.
(read the list from a couple days ago about the guy that almost burnes up his
car
