I guess Gateway must be doing pretty well. Walt, isn't this the same type
of Shelby that you own?

With an automatic????

Would this be considered one of the "Super Snakes" or do you think the 427
was installed later in the cars life?

Well, yea, but mine wasn't originally owned by Hubert Platt
nor does it have a new Shelby Aluminum 427 engine....eye rolling smiley

I can buy a new motor... think that'll add $200K to the
value??

And lest I forget, GT350 # 6S001 sold for $260,000 at the
Russo&Steele auction. The owner/seller is a friend.

I should sell my beat up '69 Mach 1 that doesn't run through them. I'd
probably get $30,000 for the old nag.

I watched some of this on Speedvision. They are going to have a recap
of the American Muscle cars sold on February 25 at 8PM Eastern.

Uh, Walt just a few questions from a uh, fellow, uh Mustang owner...

What's your address?
Are you away from your home for long periods of time?
Do you own a security system?
Do you have a dog?
Do you own a gun?

Uh, I think that should do it for now...

I didn't hear Brock say that, must of missed it.
I'm kinda miffed by Allen, the British guy.
He's seems clue less sometimes, unless it's
a Jag or something. A '51 ish Merc w/ a flatty came
through and he seemed surprised to see two
upper radiator hoses.

The absolute best comment I heard during the entire auction
was something to the effect of; 'It disappoints me to see a nicely
restored or modified street rod (non chevy) with a 350/350'.
I think it was Brock who said this and it was said several times.
All I can say is Amen to that! Granted, there's not a big demand
for a straight eight these days but gee, at least put a 318 or 440
in that Dodge, or a 351 in that old Ford F100 etc.
Not a 350/350.....yawn.

Randy- Don't have no stinking bow tie!

amen!

We have a 49 Ford custom truck in the shop now, and I'm pleased to see it has
a 351 Cleveland in it, and we also have a 52 Ford pickup with a 5.0 Mustang
motor in it.

Mail From: wal (Wal Marshall)

Im planning a business trip to LA next week and I have the weekend free to
indulge in Mustang parts shopping and general browsing.

Apart from the two biggies of NPD in Ventura and California Mustang, what
other locations would be worth a visit?

Are there any places specialising in Bosses?

Cheers

Wal Marshall
