a friend of mine at work has an '82 ford truck for sale. it has a Cleveland
in it (so he says) , which is not original to the truck , of course.

anyway , some of the engine is disassembled (mostly the front dressings as i
understand) and he doesnt know how to get it back together so he just wants to
sell it to get it out of his yard. he only wants $400 for the whole truck.
good for the parts if nothing else , but he says it ran really good until his
wife's uncle took it apart.

evidently it had a small hole on the oil pan. the pan was rubbing a
crossmember or steering linkage (which caused the hole). the only way to get the
pan off was to pull the motor , so his wife's uncle was getting ready to do the
job for him since he doesnt know much about engine work. well , halfway
through the job he and this guy get into an argument about something else , and the
guy abandons the truck , half disassembled.

if anyone is interested , email me off list and i will give you his email
address. he is a good guy and i believe he is being honest about why he is
selling it , otherwise i wouldnt be writing this....the only thing i question is
whether he knows a cleveland from a winsor....if someone tells me how to tell for
sure i will go check it out for you if you are interested.

Jason
