I recently purchased a 69 Fastback that has an 8-track tape player installed.
I would like to pick up 1 or 2 tapes for it but of course they are not selling
in the
local music stores any more. Does anybody have some they want to part with or
know where I can purchase some. My music tastes are: Country, Top 40s, and
oldies. Any help would be appreciated. My e-mail address is
(email redacted).

<SNIP!>

I think there is a Usenet group dedicated to 8tracks. rec.audio.8track maybe?

Also, check used music stores. Nashville has the Great Escape - they had a
bunch of 8 track tapes last time I was there. Some
of those 8tracks may have been in that place since 8tracks were still being
made! (Theyve been in business since the 70s)

I'm slow in replying but wanted you to know that at one time they made an
adapter that allows you to play todays cassettes in the 8-track tape deck.

I doubt they make them anymore but at least it might be worth a try.
