I picked up a used fender from a guy in California in January. [A long story
that I will get into at a later date, lets just say I finally got the fender
last week], and I think it may be from a boss. My first tip off was the
color, Grabber Green, I don't think many non-Mach I, of Bosses, came this
color. Second, It looks like the wheel arch is rolled in a bit. There is a
part # on the fender that I can see, It is DOZZ-16005C. Is this a boss
fender? If it is, is any one looking to trade for one. I would rather it go
to someone who has a Boss. Our coupe does not need a Boss fender. Any Ideas?
Thanks.

Paul,
As far as I know, the boss was the only '70 with a rolled fender lip. I don't
know about the part number though. It is possible that somebody rolled the lip
for larger tires on a '70. The orignal fenders had caulking between the inner
and outer lip of the rolled part.
I do need a fender for my Boss (drivers side), and will look at my fender today
for a part number.
Let me know.

How much is the lip rolled? Is it rolled all the way to a flat seem? Mine is
not that far.

That I can't help you with. The fender in question is a right side.

Paul,
The roll of the lip isn't to a flat seam. I'll measure the distance from the
outer to inner fender at the roll. I'll let you know.

Hey Dave, i'd appreciate it too if you could post it to the list. Any
part #s would be good too... I have a set of fenders I pulled off one
but i'm not 100% sure they are original and have been trying to
identify them for awhile now. Thanks!

Paul, where about on the fender is the part #? Our fender is off the car right
now, but has an undercoating on it and can't see any part #. If you can
approximate the location, we'll take a look.

Paul, checked out the fender again. Couldn't find a part number. the inside
is painted and has an undercoating. Only thing we found was what appears to be
date codes in two separate places. Hard to read but looks like B 28 or 29 DO.
Sorry we couldn't be more help.
