I got a call last night from a friend who wants to convert her 6cyl. 65
mustang to a V8. She has a '69 302 and a C4 she is planning to use for the
swap. I know there has been some discussion about this type of swap on here
before. Does anyone have a "list" of the items needed for this swap? Thanks
for your help!

Theres a couple of things to consider. I've only done the swap once, so
there might be better people to ask on this topic. Few things you'll
want to change..., you're going to want to put in a bigger radiator, and
possibly change the shocks/springs. I was told that changing the springs
would be a good idea, but I prefer the stance of my car as it sits about 1"
lower, so I left the stock ones. You'll probably need new water hoses, in
case the ones you have dont line up (mine didnt). Plan on getting new
motor mouts as well. Also, some exhaust parts. I just replaced my entire
exhaust, you may want to use parts on your car if its possible. Also, I
seemed to have noticed my speedometer is off, so plan on maybe having to
get a new speedo gear. One of the things I remember being tricky abotu the
install, was the fact that my power steering hoses didnt reach with the new
motor. It took a lot of re-routing to get them to fit, but it worked out
without new lines. I replaced a C4 with a C4, so I didnt have to worry
about driveshaft issues, but you might want to look at that as well.

Hope this helps,
-Rick
