I have been around Mustangs longer than I would like to admit, but have
never gotten too serious about drag racing. Now the opportunity presents
itself. I have a '69 428 CJ convertible with a C-6 that needs an engine. I
also have recently acquired a 427 2-4bbl Holman-Moody engine that needs a
car. What would any Ford-Blue-Blooded Mustanger do?!

Can anyone offer some good advice for a first timer. Eventually I plan to
restore the car so I don't want to cut things up too much. I have new
quarters so I'm not adverse to radiasing the wheel houses. I would like to
stay with an automatic. I have 4:11 gears currently in a 28 spline car,
will they bolt into a 31 spline housing? The car will see only very limited
street use if any.

I'm hoping to find someone with real world experience at this, not just pipe
dreams. Alos, if you know someone I can call, I'd appreciate any leads. If
this isn't list related enough, feel free to e-mail me offline.

Thanks,
Mark

Hey,
Im not a real big voice, but i just wanted to say, this list is CM for
classic mustang right? I'm not sure 'bout everyone else, but I'd love to
hear the developments of a mustang getting prepped for dragging. If you
don't mind Mark, please keep the updates coming smiling smiley
Steve
