Can anyone tell me their experience with the 69/70 shaker-to-hood seal/gasket - is it glued on to the shaker or not? I'm finally replacing mine with a new one and when I went to remove the old one noticed that it had been glued at one time. Given this car's history, I don't trust whether it was originally that way from the factory or not. So... has anyone else here replaced their seal/gasket (the thing with the drip tube that runs around the edge of the shaker scoop) and noticed glue or read somewhere it should be glued or not? What portion of the seal is glued?

Mustang Monthly ran an article awhile back on restoring shakers but (of course!) skipped directly from photos of a freshly painted scoop to one showing a brand new seal attached. No mention or photo of it actually being installed. Gotta love "how-to" articles where key parts of the assembly process happen by magic!

I'm ready to install - your help is VERY much appreciated.
