'68 Coupe enroute to the body shop...

Here are a couple of pics of my '68 taken last month just before towing it off to the body shop.

And this is how it all started.

I did as much as I could before shipping it off. Removed all the chrome, both windshields, stripped off the old vinyl top, replaced the entire front & rear suspension and brake system.

The new fenders and headlight buckets are inside (there's no interior). The short-shelby hood is from CJ Pony. It's fiberglass with a steel subframe, so I don't have to "pin" it like a solid fiberglass hood.

The only real rust were a couple of dime sized holes in the passenger rear 1/4 panel. The owner of the shop, who has a '69 convertible, seems pretty excited about doing this project.

Can't wait to get it back...
