Hi Everyone,
I'm about to put my motor back in and I want to make my A/C decision now
while it's easy to change things out. My car had factory air and P/S. I
would like to reuse the existing in-car evaporator setup and controls, but I
want to put in the best under hood items. I have a 3 row crank pulley and a
2 row water pump pulley. My engine is actually a '68 302.
Yesterday, a guy at Classic Auto Air said that I should go with the older
style components because the Sanden compressors don't have the same capacity
(less). Just wondering about others experiences and what you would
recommend?
Thanks,
David

i love my sanden. Stick with r-12 if you can and you'll be frosty.
The sanden is lighter, better engineered and doesn't grumble like a
blender full of ball bearings.
My York was working, but it sounded like I threw a rod so I bit the
bullet and went with sanden. My kit was complete except for the
#(*&(#*&$ O-Rings that they forgot to include. (Annoying for the price
I paid. So was the guy in tech support that I called.)
Go with the sanden.
