Does anyone know why some of the 67-68 fastbacks had a ridge in their decklid and some didn't?

I am seeing them both ways. A friend is restoring a 67 fastback and wanted to know which is the correct decklid to use. He got one from CJ Pony Parts and it doesn't have the ridge but we've seen them both ways at car shows.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the ridge is correct and that
some (cheap?) re-pops don't have it .... my Shelby deck lid has a ridge
