I have adjustable Gabriel Striders. Fronts set to firm (or is it extra
firm?) and rears set to regular.

I'm about to buy new front shocks to go with the new 620 springs. I was
planning on the KYB gas-a-just flavor but John's coment above has me
second guessing. Those of you who have the 620 coils, what shocks are
you using and what would you recommend for a 67 coupe (non daily driver)?

I'm also interested in hearing opinions on shocks - I'm going to be getting
new wheels & shocks very soon for my 66 coupe (daily driver). I know nothing
about shocks.

My '66 is a show car, but I do like to cruise in it. I use just plain old
basic gas Gabriel shocks, nothing fancy, and they do just fine (heck, I
even run bias-ply tires!). $14 for each shock at Autozone. They give a
decent ride around town and cruising down the highway. The single biggest
thing I did to improve ride & handling in my '66 was to get the suspension
up-to-spec front and rear. 40-year-old springs and worn rubber bushings
will do a number on any ride!
