The original seat belts in my '66 coupe (bucket seats) seem to be reversed.
To use them, we have to turn the buckle over so that the belt has a twist in it.

When using the front seat belt, is the white label on the belt near the bolt
("Safety one person ...2966"winking smiley supposed to be visable and on the top of the
beltor is it under the belt? I can't tell if the belt was installed upside
down or if someone reversed the buckle. (This is the side of the belt with
the black large buckle not the chrome "tongue" side)...

Thanks,

Richard M.

The label is not a good indicator of the correct way. By the date code
on the label I would guess that these are likely the original belts. DO
they have the retractors? If so try swapping drivers for passengers. If
not just flop the belts over.
