To answer Jeff Speegle,

Jeff, I am just one of the many people who have had experiences with losing
their brakes on their 64 1/2 to 66 Mustangs. I know plenty of other people
that also have..
Maybe it's one of those subjects that people who rather not talk about. I
don't know , but I can tell you this much... If you use your Classic stang
for daily driving, or if the car is not a concours car, Swap out that old
single reservoir for a Dual Master. The life you save maybe your own, or
someone else's, not to mention the life of your car.
I'm just shocked that this subject has not been touched on more often. This
very dangerous problem has been know for over 35 years. Why do you think
Ford and GM changed over to a Dual Reservoir in 1967?? For Looks?

Over the years, I have heard many horror stories, and a few fatalities
related to this problem. I think that this problem is as dangerous, or more
dangerous that the suposed "Exploding drop in gas tank"...

By the way, Classic Mustang owners are not the only ones having to deal with
this problem... 1955 thru 1957 Classic Chevy owners also have to deal with
the single reservoir situation, and if you goto most Classic Chevy shows,
You'll see that 75% of the owners have swapped out the single master for a
dual one. It appears that Chevy owners "have waken up" and covered the
subject better than Ford owners. Ford Owners have not owned up to it yet.
It's time. If I can save a life, I will speak the truth! I don't like to
Classic Mustang owners get injured or wipe out their cars because of JUST ONE
leak in their brake line, or JUST ONE leaky cylinder, because that's all it
takes with a single reservoir to completely lose the brakes 100%. This
subject seriously needs to be addressed. Evreyone will benefit by this, in
more ways than one. Besides, the conversion to a Dual Master increases
Braking power! I know, I did it on My '66 Hardtop w/289!

Thanks,

Tony.
