Well, a couple of the obvious diffs are the stripes, the
running horse corral in the grill, the gas cap, the
"California Edition" badging..... only 400 made, I think?

Some of the Cal Ed items are included in the "Pony Package" option
on the regular V6 Mustang

Most of them are, actually. Those items were supposed to be unique
(the classic-looking fog lights and horse corral, for example) to the
California Edition and then Ford decided to do a pony package. Good job.

I still haven't been able to move that car, so I started talking to
the dealer about trading it for one in stock. You'll get a kick out
of this as much as I did (and maybe if you were thinking about a new
one, it might persuade you to go for it...)

Galpin Ford had 232 Mustangs in stock when I spoke to them on the
phone yesterday (and this number was also reflected on Ford's website
for ``search dealer inventory'' for them.

They have zero 2005 GTs left but lots of V6s both coupe and
convertible. They're offering 1.9% APR on 2005 V6 models. Of the 232,
they had 87 V8s.

So I was thinking about buying a GT deluxe in silver with a graphite
interior. I love the way they look, I love the way they drive even
more (much better than a Fox body or any of the models from 1994-2004
in my opinion), but then there's that depreciation thing, plus you
can't exactly work on them like we work on our classics. For $25K I
can get an almost-restored classic fastback (less if its a 6cyl, and
of course less if it needs lots of work), and that car will
appreciate. Likewise with a convertible.

Decisions, decisions.

So, those 87 GTs are 2006s .... I'm not surprised they have no 2005s ...
How many of the V6s are 2005 leftover versus 2006?
