Picked up a '65 F-100 and looking for recommendations on a solid front disc brake conversion kit.
Truck is in pretty good condition with 69K original miles, but the master cylinder is wet and leaking and needs to be replaced.
This will be a daily driver, so I want a kit that includes power braking if it's not too expensive (I am on a budget).
I've also heard that 70s Mustang front-ends can basically be bolted on, but I don't want to scour junk yards if I can get something new for a fair price.
Called up a restoration place near me and they quoted me $4800 for parts and labor!!! That's almost as much as I paid for the damn truck...

1965-1979 F-100 and F150's used the twin I beam front end so you can use a complete front end from a 73-79 f100 or f150. It is a direct bolt in with no cutting, drilling or welding. You will need to get the proportioning valve and master cylinder You can upgrade to power by getting the booster system as well. You will need to get an alignment after it is installed. There is only 8 or 10 bolts involved, You will also have the same wheel bolt pattern. Make sure you get the trailing arms as well, it's easier and less bolts than remove the king pins. I did it in 1 day by myself on my 71 f100.
