I have been addicted to cars since before I could drive. When I was a youth, I made a crystal radio from a kit and listened to the 1961 Indy 500. My first car was a 1960 MGA. I paid for it by working for Harry Morrow at AutoBooks in Burbank back in 1968. I am economist and bond trader. I also spent some time as a musician in the early 1980s. I began racing in 1994 and won the VARA Formula Ford championship in 2001. I acquired a MGB powered Elva Courier in 2005 and have been active with HMSA/Gen'l Racing since then. On Thanksgiving Day 2006, I was stricken with an intestinal abcess. Several months later it was determined that my immune system was failing because I had Chronic Myeolied Leukemia. I underwent 10 surgeries, including a colostomy. (That has since been reversed.) I am alive today to tell you that this battle is now won. (I will have leukemia until there is a cure, but it is surpressed.) I am alive and will race again. Life is short and unpredictable. Live every day as best as you can!
